Fontodi - Colli Della Toscana Centrale IGT Syrah 'Casa Via' 2016

Fontodi is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, specifically in the valley south of Panzano, and is known as the "Conca d'oro" (golden shell) due to its amphitheatre form. A real and distinctive "Terroir," famed for centuries for its legacy of great wine growing, thanks to a one-of-a-kind mix of high altitude, calcar clay schist soil, plenty of light, and a superb micro-climate.

Syrah 'Casa Via' 2016 has a robust scent with shades of luscious dark fruit, with recollections of spicy tones of black pepper that are distinctive of the varietal. Coffee and bitter chocolate notes round out the bouquet. On the palate, it is full and warm, with a silky tannic structure that is delightfully peppery and nicely balanced. The length is excellent, and the finish is balsamic.
