Piedmont
Piedmont is a must if you would like to learn more about Italian wines. Barolo and Barbaresco will make you come up with Nebbiolo-based wines straight ahead, there are a bit more other wines that worth exploration.
While Nebbiolo is quite serious and complex in terms of its red cherry, tar and rose flavours along with high tannin, Barbera tastes a bit more in dark cherry, anise and dried herbs. As a tradition of old-world wines, DOCGs in Italy indicates regions that can produce supreme quality of wine and only specific grapes are allowed to plant. Moscato, quite surprisingly, as a sweet casual white, is produced from the same region as Nebbiolo which is Barolo. There are more to learn of Piedmont, and our Moscato in store should be a great starter to begin with.
