Susan Sokol and Bill Blosser planted their first viners in the Dundee Hillls in the Willamette Valley, Oregon at a time when there was no wine industry in that state. Oregon wine industry has since grown exponentially, while Sokol Blosser has survived and prospered as a family-owned and run operation. Sokol Blosser create wines of world class quality and produced sustainably, mindful of the environment, that express the dinstinct flavours of those Dundee Hills. Since 2015, Sokol Blosser is only 1 of 25 wineries worldwide certified B-Corp for "social and environmental performance".
The nose is rich with mushroom, truffle, and forest floor, accompanied by black cherry, cranberry, and clove. The palate reflects the cranberry, black cherry and truffle, but also introduces a dash of black pepper with medium tannins and acidity on the finish.
