D'Arenberg - The Money Spider Rousanne 2021

Since 1912 the Osborn family have tended vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Today fourth generation family member Chester makes distinctive wines using traditional and sustainable methods both in the vineyard and the winery. From entry level to iconic, d’Arenberg wines are basket pressed with red wines placed in small batch open fermenters and foot trod. Known for an eclectic portfolio of oddly named wines and a bold red stripe that adorns each bottle, the range is considerable with over 70 wines and 36 grape varieties, with styles that incvlude white, red, fortified, sparkling & dessert. In 2017, construction was completed on the d'Arenberg Cube, a now landmark five storey multi-function building set amounst the Mouvedre vines.

Tasting Note: This wine has an intense, exotic nose with aromas of orange zest, kaffir lime and lemon grass. The palate is rich and intense with loads of texture. There’s concentrated flavours of citrus, grapefruit and green mango, followed by an attractive, slightly grippy phenolic finish.
