ABOUT THE MAKER:
Laurent Harbrad, a 5th generation winemaker, took over the Estate from his parents in 1998, and today oversees 15 hectares spread across Crozes-Hermitage, Saint Joseph and Hermitage. Certified Organic since 2011, Laurent Habrard has been working towards reducing the vineyard's environmental impact, often referring to organic conversion as a way of apologising to Mother Nature. The harvest is done exclusively by hand and Laurent picks grapes in small boxes to avoid oxidation.
ABOUT THE WINE:
It reveals black cherry, wild blackberry, and garrigue notes. On the palate, there are fleshy/crushed cassis and tiny violet notes, as well as a delicate touch of crushed raspberry and subtle undertones of garrigue/olive tree and liquorice. Overall, this is a well-balanced Syrah with elegance, brightness, and tension.
