Millton Vineyards - 'Opou Vineyard' Chardonnay 2018

New Zealand's First Organic & Biodynamic Wine Estate. The Millton's  three individual Gisborne vineyards; Opou, Te Arai and the Clos de Ste. Anne are located in Manutuke. The unique character of the appellation is its proximity to the influence of the Pacific Ocean together with the geologically youthful sedimentary soils. Traditional viticulture is practiced in all vineyards and all are dry-farmed, with no insecticide or herbicide used.

'Opou' Chardonnay reveals notes of tropical fruit and peach, dried herb seasoning, savoury old wood. Rich fruit, balanced acidity, flinty texture, almost a lime and grapefruit tang to the aftertaste, along with a little drizzle of butter. Good.
