The Herdade dos Lagos estate is in the Valley of the Camels, or Vale de Camelos, in the Alentejo region of southern Portugal, which used to be known as the nation's breadbasket. As a result, agriculture is where the estate got its start. Currently, the farm is being managed by a dedicated, passionate team who are working in harmony with the natural environment to protect the local biodiversity and the future of the area.
HDL Tinto 2020 is a blend of typical varietals grown in the Alentejo, such as Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional. Characters of cherry blossom and mountain cranberry jam may be detected on the nose. Silky, dry tannins interplaying with racy acidity. Finishing with dried tobacco leaves and rich, beautiful dark chocolate flavours.
