Vinyes Domenech DO Montsant Teixar 2016

Vinyes Domènech is located in the south of the Priorat county (Montsant DO), at an altitude of 450 metres, in a protected natural environment of great beauty and ecological significance. It is a plain surrounded by mountains, pine and holly oak woods, and Mediterranean undergrowth, with a one-of-a-kind landscape. Vinyes Domènech's numerous terroirs range in elevation from 200 to 500 metres above sea level, forming 90 parcels with a broad variety of soils in which Grenache and Carignan grapes reflect the character of each parcel.

Teixar is a living example of how nature understands aromatic complexity like no other. Ripe red fruit, currant, blackberries, and cherries, and those who can wait will be rewarded when it opens and gives us its deep anisettes that play with menthol notes, while the lack of pepper is outlined alongside some liquorice notes and aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean undergrowth, rosemary, and lavender.  Its red fruit plays with a range of balsamic notes of the medicinal herbs of our environment and spicy notes, with an acidity and saline touches that melt on the palate.
