La Cepa del Pelayo - Manchuela Ole de Aromas 2019

La Cepa del Pelayo is a fledgling project that began in 2016, as an initiative of the Pelayo family's third generation of vine growers, with the goal of restoring vineyard relatives of old vines and producing quality wine using ancestral practises from the Region of La Manchuela.

A wine with a medium layer of cherry red hue and a distinct rim of vibrant colour that indicates its freshness. On the nose, we find a great intensity of red fruit (sour strawberry, raspberry) and black fruit (cherry, plum, currant, blueberry) and a swirled glass suggestive of blue flowers (violet) and a gentle backdrop of grassy subtleties (varietal typicity). It has a fresh entrance and tangy fruit flavours, such as strawberry, currants, and blueberries. It has a surprising length and depth due to the combination of fresh acidity and a welcoming and well-polished tannin.
