The Domaine Rotier tale begins in 1975, when Alain Rotier's parents purchased an almost abandoned vineyard with the purpose of resurrecting the estate. Because the environment is a great concern for them, they decided to switch to organic cultivation in their vineyards in 2005. Alain and Francis are ardent supporters of the Gaillac grape varietals Braucol, Duras, and Loin de l'il, and are passionate about their terroir.
80% Loin de l'Oeil, 20% Sauvignon, luscious dessert wine with a powerful nose with scents of citrus and white fruit (peach). The mouthfeel is soft and fresh, with a very nice balance between richness and acidity.
