The subsoil of solid limestone in this location above its bunter sandstone and loess provides a fascinating combination of fruitiness and minerality to this excellent Pfalz riesling. Meerspinne Im Mandelgarten (Sea spider in the almond garden) is a Grosse Lage location equivalent to Grand Cru of the French appellations.
