Cesani - IGT Rosso Toscano Luenzo 2013

Vincenzo Cesani has devoted his entire life to the family farm.  He has managed to blend technological innovation with a respect for local traditions, which, together with his ongoing efforts, has made the winery well-known and admired not just locally, but also by the industry's most prominent magazines.

Cesani's 'Luenzo' IGT Toscana Rosso 2013 is deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose displays sharp flavours of wild strawberries and raspberry, as well as subtle woody and leather notes.
On the palate, it's wide and strong, with thick yet silky tannins that work in tandem with a vibrant acidity that encourages drinking. Finally, there are subtle fruit allusions and peppery echoes. Organic wine matured for 16 months on French oak barriques. A Sangiovese-based wine with elegance and aromatic flare, as well as considerable power and involvement on the tongue. Excellent value for money. Definitely one of the greatest red wines made in San Gimignano.
