Arcano - Ribera del Duero 'Arcano' Tempranillo 2015

A blend of different Tempranillo clones from vineyards in the Valdepila valley (800 m altitude). Organic certified vineyard in the highlands with less than 400 litres of rain each year, h and-picked in October 2015. Minimal intervention in the winery and fermentation with wild yeasts. Aged for at least one year in new and used 225 l French oak barrels before spending more than two years in bottle before release.

The colour is a deep cherry red. Aromas of juicy black fruit, with hints of liquorice, spices, and tobacco, as one would expect from a Tempranillo. The palate is powerful, fresh, and full of refinement. The vintage's climatic circumstances, which included cooler temperatures and more rain than usual, resulted in a distinctive character with outstanding finesse.
