Sylvain Loichet comes from a long-established family on the Côte de Beaune.In 2005, after completing his oenology studies in Beaune, the then 22-year-old Sylvain decided to take over his grandparents' vineyards and converted it to organic in the following years. The domaine now works as a small négociant (trading house) with selected winegrowers in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Sylvain mischievously calls this 'Négoce Haute-Couture'. His wines are handmade unique, from carefully and selectively hand-picked grapes, spontaneously fermented, without fining, only gently filtered and discreetly matured in wood.
Ultrafine Pinot Noir, on the nose there are aromas of fresh, red fruit with notes of menthol. On the palate the red fruit pattern is repeated, with blackcurrant and redcurrant. The oak is present but remains subtle.
