Sylvain Loichet Bourgogne Pinot Noir AOC Le President 2019

Sylvain Loichet comes from a long-established family on the Côte de Beaune. In 2005, after completing his oenology studies in Beaune, the then 22-year-old Sylvain decided to take over his grandparents' vineyards and converted it to organic in the following years. The Domaine now works as a small négociant (trading house) with selected winegrowers in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Sylvain mischievously calls this 'Négoce Haute-Couture'. His wines are handmade unique, from carefully and selectively hand-picked grapes, spontaneously fermented, without fining, only gently filtered and discreetly matured in wood.

Le President is a Bourgogne village presenting a layered bouquet of sweet cherry and plum, herbaceous-spicy notes of rosemary and black pepper, a little earthy. Modern Burgundy style skilfully vinified to ripe fruit that makes it dangerously drinkable.
