Castagna - Allegro Rose 2019

The Castagna's mission, is to make wine which is the expression of the place where it is grown, stylistically making classic old-world wines with new-world fruit. The vineyard is fully certified both organic and biodynamic and they are one of only four Australian producers invited to be a member of La Renaissance des Appellations an organic association founded by biodynamic pioneer Nicolas Joly which invite exclusively organic producers with outstanding quality and commitment.

Shiraz viognier rosé. Yup. Strong rose hip tea and floral scents with aromas of pepper, clove in the mix. Juicy in the palate but with light, crisp tannins keeping things tight and fine and fresh. Back palate acidity is epic, tart and tangy, a feature, amaro-laced flavours linger. Serious but seriously drinkable. Outstanding
