La Cepa del Pelayo - Manchuela Ole de Passion 2019

La Cepa del Pelayo is a fledgling project that began in 2016, as an initiative of the Pelayo family's third generation of vine growers, with the goal of restoring vineyard relatives of old vines and producing quality wine using ancestral practises from the Region of La Manchuela.

Clean and vibrant pale yellow wine with greenish tints. Aromatic strength ranges from medium to high, with good candour and clarity. Macabeo's primary fragrances include zesty (lemon, grapefruit), white flowers (orange blossom and jasmine), and a background of freshly cut grass. On the palate, we find a wine that is both fresh and vibrant, with notes of lemon and grapefruit, as well as luscious white fruit (apple and pear). Very enjoyable straightforward approach, with good concentration and length, pronounced acidity (characteristic of the varietal), and unctuous texture from lees ageing.
