Domaine de la Vougeraie - AOC Charmes-Chambertin "Les Mazoyeres" Grand Cru 2017

Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded in 1999 by the Boisset family. The winery produce wines from some of the most exclusive regions of Burgundy in the heart of the Côte d'Or. These include locations such as Charmes-Chambertin, Bonnes Mares, Clos Vougeot and many more. These premier and grand cru plots, which are in demand worldwide, have been gradually acquired by the family over the years. Since day one, organically farmed and in some parts biodynamically.

The wine begins with beautiful aromas of black fruit, coffee, and blond tobacco on the nose. The enjoyment continues with the introduction of cherry and kirsch notes, which are reinforced by minty undertones. The palate is generous, meaty, and racy. This Charmes-Chambertin has a lot of promise, in our opinion. It certainly demands a long shelf life so that it may completely express itself in 5 to 10 years.
