The Beconcini family was one of the first in Tuscany to free themselves from the then-prevalent sharecropping system. Under Leonardo's grandfather, Pietro Beconcini Agricola was an agricultural operation that produced a variety of products; and later under his father’s direction, it became strictly a viticultural and winemaking estate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eTO THE WINE:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e70% Sangiovese, 30% Canaiolo, 10% Malvasia nera, and 5% Trebbiano.\u003cbr\u003eThis Chianti, is a beautiful representation of Tuscan heritage, on the old Via Fancigena, a storied route travelled by pilgrims. travelling from Canterbury to Rome via San Miniato and snaking among the rows of grapes in Beconcini vineyards.  Redolent of violets and juicy black.
